The 2013 chestnut stallion is by legendary sire Dash Ta Fame and out of MP Meter My Hay, better known as “Stingray,” the legendary palomino mare ridden by four time World Champion Sherry Cervi.
Stingray is one of the most recognizable and accomplished barrel horses of the modern rodeo era. By PC Frenchmans Hayday and out of Miss Meter Jet, Stingray carried Cervi to the 2010 and 2013 WPRA World Championships. In 2010, the pair set a then Wrangler NFR arena record with a 13.49 second run at the Thomas & Mack Center while Cervi became the first barrel racer to surpass $2 million in career earnings. In 2013, Stingray was named the Horse with the Most Heart as Cervi captured another World Championship and established a new NFR average record, placing in all ten rounds. Stingray's influence has continued well beyond her own legendary career through an accomplished family of performance horses.
Feel The Sting is a son of Dash Ta Fame, bringing together the proven speed and sire power of Dash Ta Fame with one of the most celebrated female families in barrel racing. He proved that pedigree in the arena himself, earning more than $142,000 and qualifying to the 2020 National Finals Rodeo before establishing his own reputation as a sire.
